ANTALYA - Mehmet Durak was released from Döşemealtı High Security Prison after 30 years.
Mehmet Durak was arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment by the State Security Court (DGM) for "disrupting the unity and integrity of the state" after being detained in Pirsus (Suruç) district of Riha (Urfa) in 1995. Durak was released from Antalya Döşemealtı High Security Prison after 30 years of imprisonment. Durak was welcomed with flowers in front of the prison by his family and executives of Antalya Association for Assistance and Solidarity with Families of Prisoners and Convicts (TUAY-DER).
Durak travelled to Adana, where his family home was.
