ANKARA - The Commission on National Solidarity, Fraternity and Democracy will listen to the heads of bar associations and former parliamentary speakers.
The Commission on National Solidarity, Fraternity and Democracy, which was established in the Parliament to resolve the Kurdish issue, has announced the schedule of its meetings to be held on August 27 and 28. The Commission will hold its 6th meeting at 14.00 on 27 August. In addition to the Chair of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations (TBB) Erinç Sağkan, the heads of the Ankara No. 2, Çewlig (Bingöl), Amed (Diyarbakır), Hatay, İstanbul No. 2, Meletî (Malatya), Mêrdîn (Mardin), Mersin, Wan (Van) and Sêwas (Sivas) bar associations will be heard at the meeting.
The 7th meeting of the Commission on 28 August will be held at 11.00 am. In the first session of the meeting, former parliamentary presidents Hikmet Çetin, Ömer İzgi, Bülent Arınç, Köksal Toptan and Mehmet Ali Şahin will be heard; in the second session, Cemil Çiçek, İsmet Yılmaz, İsmail Kahraman, Binali Yıldırım and Mustafa Şentop will be heard.
Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş will chair the meetings.
