ARTVİN - 4 journalists who were detained in house raids in Istanbul on 13 June through an Artvin based investigation were arrested on the allegation of "terrorist organisation membership".
7 people, including 6 journalists, were taken to Artvin after being detained. On 14 June, the journalists were charged with providing software services to news websites, royalty payments for their news articles and phone calls.
The journalists were taken to the courthouse on 16 June after 3 days of detention. The prosecutor referred them to a criminal court of peace for arrest. Journalists Dicle Baştürk, Yavuz Akengin and Eylem Emel Yılmaz along with Sendika.Org worker Ozan Cırık were arrested on charges of "terrorist organisation membership".
Semra Melek and Melisa Efe were released on judicial control conditions.
