‘Mustafa Mesut Tekik dedicated his life to peace and living with dignity’

NEWS CENTER – In the tributes made for the late DEM Party Êlih Provincial Co-Chair Mustafa Mesut Tekik, it was stated, “He left behind a life full of struggle, a life dedicated to his people. May our people's hearts be strong.”

Mustafa Mesut Tekik, the co-chair of the People’s Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party in Êlih (Batman), passed away due to a heart attack. It was stated that Tekik, who had been in Istanbul for a while, fell ill at around 22.00 pm local time. Tekik, who was taken to Siyami Ersek Hospital in Üsküdar after his illness, could not be saved despite all interventions. 
 
Following his death, many people shared their condolences on social media, vowing to carry on Tekik’s struggle.

Serhat Eren: Unfortunately, we lost our comrade Mustafa Mesut Tekik, the DEM Party Batman Provincial Co-Chair, due to a heart attack. We are deeply saddened. He left behind a life full of struggle, a life dedicated to his people. May our people's hearts be strong.
 
Saliha Aydeniz: Our friend Mustafa Mesut Tekik was someone who took responsibility in every field, gave us strength, and never stepped back from the struggle. I offer my condolences to all of his loved ones, his family, the Batman organization, and our people. His memory will live on in our struggle.

Tekik was always and example with his struggle, hard work, and self-sacrifice. His unwavering stance, even in difficult times, left deep marks in all our hearts. His memory will live on in our struggle. I offer my condolences to his family, close ones, and all our people. May our hearts be strong, and may Allah have mercy on him.
 
Abdullah Zeydan: The Kurdish people have lost a very valuable son. Our Batman Provincial Co-Chair Mustafa Mesut Tekik passed away due to a heart attack. A very early, very sudden loss. We are deeply saddened. To our valuable comrade who dedicated his life to peace and a life of honorable freedom, we offer our condolences to his precious family and wish them patience. May our people’s, all our hearts be strong.
 
Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit: We are deeply saddened by the loss of our Batman Provincial Co-Chair, our comrade Mustafa Mesut Tekik. With his struggle, principles, and stance, he was always a guide for us. His memory will live on in our struggle. We offer our condolences to his family and all our people.
 
Tekik's body will be flown out tomorrow at 13.00 to be buried in his hometown Êlih.
