ANKARA - Co-chair of the Autonomous Administration's Foreign Relations Department Ilham Ehmed said that the aim of the agreement is to stop the attacks in the coastal region and expressed hope for the preparation of a transformation that will ensure the fair participation of all components in the process. 

 

Co-Chair of the Syrian Democratic Assembly Autonomous Administration Foreign Relations Department Ilham Ehmed, made a statement on the agreement signed between Mazloum Abdi, General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Ahmad Al-Shara, President of the Syrian Interim Government.  

 

ALL COMPONENTS WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE PROCESS

 

Ilham Ehmed's post on her X account reads: "The agreement between our SDF forces and the Syran Transitional Authority comes in the context of the painful events that our people are witnessing on the coast and is a step aimed at stopping them. Likewise, another objective is the cessation of all military operations on Syrian territory. We hope that this agreement will pave the way for an inclusive national peace and pave the way for genuine transformation process that will ensure the fair participation of the Kurds and all other components in the political process. We also aim to create an enabling environment for the safe return of refugees inside and outside the country. Syria's strength lies in its multi-coloured character and the fighting spirit of its young women and men."
