Hanife Budak, wife of Mustafa Budak who lost his life in the October 10 Train Station Massacre, highlighted the importance of the peace process and called on women, especially the Peace Mothers, to visit İmralı and meet with Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
The Kurdish Women’s Union Platform held its 3rd conference in Amed (Diyarbakır) under the slogan “With the unity of Kurdish women, toward national unity. The two-day conference, attended by 110 delegates, emphasized the leading role of women in preserving the Kurdish language and culture, advancing national unity, and building peace. A new secretariat was established to coordinate the work of a “women’s alliance.”
Kurdish Women's Unity Platform will organise the 3rd Kurdish Women's Platform Conference in Amed (Diyarbakır) on 21-22 June with the slogan "Bi yekitiya jinên kurd, ber bi yekitiya neteweyî ye (From Kurdish women's unity to Kurdish national unity )".
Peace Mother Latife Dağ, who had been suffering from health problems for a long time, passed away in Nisêbîn.
Highlighting that freedom is only possible through transformation and change, Rojda Yıldız, a member of the editorial board of Jineology magazine, stated: “In these days when the hope for democracy and freedom is rising, becoming conscious together with more women is a prerequisite for achieving lasting peace and sustaining the women’s struggle.”

The final declaration of the “Kurdish Women Parliamentarians Conference” highlighted the call of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, stating: “The unity of Kurdish women in word, action, and struggle will not only guarantee unity among Kurds, but will also ensure the viability of a democratic society in the four parts.”
DEM Party member Zeynep Nilgun Salmaner emphasised that women should take part in every stage of the new process.
Co-chair of the Autonomous Administration Assembly Avîn Swêd, who participated in the “Kurdish Women Parliamentarians Conference” via zoom from North and East Syria, stated that they take Abdullah Öcalan’s message as a basis, “Women should lead the peace and democratic society project” she said.
Speaking at the “Kurdish Women Parliamentarians Conference,” Democratic Unity Initiative Co-spokesperson Gulcan Kacmaz Sayyigit said: “Naitonal unity belongs to the Kurdish people, to Kurdish women. It will definitely be achieved.”
