Ill prisoners in Antalya not transfer to hospital for 1 year

ANTALYA - DEM Party MP Saliha Aydeniz, who met with prisoners in prisons in Antalya, stated that ill prisoners have not been transferred to hospital for a year and that their right to treatment has been prevented.

Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Mêrdîn (Mardin) MP Saliha Aydeniz met with prisoners in Antalya Type S Closed Prison and Antalya High Security Prison and prison administration. Saliha Aydeniz made a short statement in front of the prison after the meeting. Stating that the same problems experienced in all prisons are also experienced in Antalya, Saliha Aydeniz said that there are serious problems regarding the transfer of ill prisoners to hospitals, that they have not been transferred for almost a year, and that the treatmend rights of ill prisoners are prevented.
 
Saliha Aydeniz stated that prisoners who have completed their execution periods are prevented from being released and that the country has turned into a prison country and demanded the government to implement the law and the constitution instead of building prisons as soon as possible. Emphasising that they will follow the violations of rights in prisons, Saliha Aydeniz stated that they will continue their struggle for a dignified life.
 
Lawyer Erhan Aktı, a member of the Association of Lawyers for Freedom (ÖHD), stated that they will follow the rights violations and said, "We will continue to struggle in this filed until these problems are solved and our frineds have all their rights."
