NEWS CENTER - HDP Co-Chair Pervin Buldan stated that thatJune 7, 2015 national elections was a turning point in the history of Turkey as she said, "First coup was staged on June 7, but HDP won one more time. HDP has been the safe harbor of the people of Turkey to take shelter".

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Pervin Buldan made new statement regarding the the current agenda after her visit in Iğdır Provincial Organization of her party.

'AS AKP LOSES, HDP GROWS'

Emhasizing the dilemma between the attacks and the growth of HDP, Buldan stated that HDP is a party, which grows even more in all the attacks it survived: "AKP government lost its correspondence amon the society. A government, which has lost its social correspondency targets to attack the opposition. Yes, we see in the public surveys that AKP's points decrease. All these attacks,  the trustees appointed and attacks on people's will are the signatures of AKP's loss. As AKP loses HDP grows. These attacks aim to stop the growth of HDP. It is not only mayors, but they now attacked the will of our people in Hakkari and Diyarbakır by stripping MP status of Leyla Güven and Musa Farisoğulları of and imprisoning them. They also striped Figen Yüksekdağ and Selahattin Demirtaş of their MP status on November 4, since then the political coups have continued. Today is the anniversary of June 7. Peoples of Turkey know it very well that June 7 is a date that gives hope to them, it was a turning point.

THE SAFE HARBOR OF THE PEOPLE

June 7 2015 elections was the beginning of the change and tranformation, the opening of a door. First coup was staged on June 7, they cancelled the election and they went on another election on November 1, 2015 again. What happened? HDP won one more time. HDP has been the safe harbor of the people of Turkey to take shelter.

WITHOUT HDP NO ONE WILL WIN

Regardless of all the obstacles they put in front of us in the March 31 municipality elections, in many municipalities the co-mayorship won. Istanbul is a first in the history of elections in Turkey. June 23 elections represent a date when democracy forces opposed all together against fascism, against the violence, against being ignored and against denial. Nobody could win the election without HDP in Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya or Mersin. Today we repeat the same claim: Noone can not win the election without HDP anywhere in Turkey".

WE DARE YOU

Stating that HDP confront with the powers, who try to deperate HDP from other democracy forces, Buldan finished her statements with the following remarks: All attacks and violence targeting HDP, made HDP grow. We are faced with a power that desires to separate HDP from democracy forces. We will continue to fight against those who do not see HDP as a political party. All elections will be a new political victory, all elections will be an election that the AKP will lose. It is clear that at which point AKP has brough Turkey in 18 years. We saw that the AKP government can not govern this country in political crises and in the pandemic process as well. Today, if an election decision is taken, we are ready for elections together with our provincial and district organizations. Starting today, this is what we call to AKP loud and clear: We dare you, set the ballot boxes, once again. Against you and your trustees the people of Turkey will come together one more time, will overthrow you from the your political power and definitely make you lose the elections".
