'National Initiative for the Unity of the Kurds' announced

QAMİŞLO - Various organizations coming together for the national unity in Qamışlo declared the initiative consisting of 11 people with the slogan "National initiative for the Unity of the Kurds".

A press release was made at the Mihemed Şêxo Culture and Art Center with the participation of many intellectuals, artists, religious scholars and opinion leaders who came together for the Kurdish national union in the city of Qamişlo in north-eastern Syria. In the statement, an initiative of 11 people was declared with the slogan “National Initiative for the Unity of the Kurds” in order to support the Kurdish national union.

The Kurdish text of the press release regarding the establishment of the initiative was read by writer and journalist Melevan Resul, and the Arabic text was read by Abdulvahap Xelil, who was on the preparatory committee of the initiative.

'FOR THE UNITY OF ROJAVA KURDS'

In the statement titled as "For the unity of the Rojava Kurds", it was noted that it has been for the benefit of the regional and global powers which cause the sensitive times that the Middle East have been through and the crisis in the region. It was also stated that the Middle-East region was exposed to crises, violations of rights and war and unless no measures adopted, more dangerous plans would be put into effect resulting in the exhausting of international law and ethics.

The declaration includes the following statements:

"As the socia activists we see the initiation of dialogue among Kurds as our responsibility. We need a joint road map all together. This is our promise to our people and to our martryes of revolution. We see this initiative as a social initiative. We congradulate SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces-QSD) for all their efforts in this matter. We aim for a joint and wide conference or a meeting:

* Kurds in Syria, are the historical locals of the region and they call for the protection of social and cultural values as they live peacefully with the other people in Rojava region.

* All the calls for the unity of the Kurds, including Syrian Democratic Forces' shall be supported.

* It is important to highlight the importance of the military and the governance achievements of the armed defence forces, which has become the symbol of the Kurds in Syria.

* It should be supported that a wide-attended Kurdish National Conference or meeting, which would bring all the political activists and parties in Rojava Kurdistan, is to be organized.

* The struggle and necessary works shall be conducted for the sake of the Kurds and all other parties, who resist against the oppression and occupation in Syria.

* Based on the above articles, a commission (Good-Will Commission) is to be organized and to be working as soon as possible."
