DİYARBAKIR - Explaining that the new law on execution does not mean anything for them, Democratic Society Congress (DTK) stated that a new area of struggle have emerged in terms of democratic politics against injustice caused by the law.

Democratic Society Congress (DTK) made a written statement regarding the new law on the execution adopted and legislated by the parliament. Reminding that the law prepared by AKP and MHP is prepared by violating international laws and arranging the definition of crime in their on way, DTK said: "The enforcement law, which has been limited to a certain segment of society, has caused reactions in national and international community and wounded the consciences. While thousands of families waited breathlessly for this law, trying to solve this problem with fist fights in the parliament instead of discussions, indicated how it was going to end, from the start. First of all, no one has the right to do this injustice tot he people. We believe that the expectation of the society is that politics should be done by feeling the needs of the society deeply. The new law on execution is unjust, incomplete and weak because it was prepared according to the needs of a small segment of the society. In this respect, this law is not valid for us.

A NEW AREA OF STRUGGLE

The statement which focused on the injustice it caused in terms of democratic politics, said: "One of the main duties of politics is to right the wrongs the government arranged in line with itself and struggle to enact fairer laws and contribute to the institutionalization of a democratic society. From this point of view, we think that the law should not be off the agenda and should be completed in order to regulate it fairly and comprehensively. We promise our people that we will continue on our way without compromising our socialist and democratic struggle. We invite all institutions and organizations struggling for democracy and human rights, the democratic public opinion, internal community and all sensitive political parties to take action to complete the deficiencies of this law and to enact a more inclusive and fair law."
