Clashes in coastal areas of Syria: At least 100 dead

NEWS CENTER - Clashes that started uesterday in the southern coastal cities of Syria continue. It was stated at least 100 people lost their lives in the clashes. 

The months-long tension between armed groups in Syria's Latakia, Tartus, Jabali, Homs, Hama and Deraa cities and the groups affiliated to HTS-Jolani-Damascus interim administration turned into violent clashes as of yesterday evening. According to the information obtained in the fierce clashes; more than 100 people lost their lives. While it was stated that there were many wounded, it was noted that houses were set on fire during the clashes. Violent clashes have been taking place in the southern and coastal cities of Syria since yesterday evening.
 
According to Hawar News Agency (ANHA), armed groups captured some areas in Latakia and Tartus held by the Damascus government.
 
LATAKIA
 
Some armed groups in Latakia claimed to have taken control of Satamo Airport and a military area under the Naval Forces Command. After a while, Damascus administration officials announced that they had regained control of the area under the command of the Naval Forces. However, according to a video released, armed groups captured members of the Latakia city administration of the Damascus government. 
 
In Latakia, a vehicle belonging to the Turkistan Islamic Party was ambushed by armed groups. In a video from the city, a Turkish-speaking person says they were ambushed. In the city of Homs, a house belonging to a Nasserite family was set on fire after being fired upon. A video shows the traces of the attack on the house. Another video shows a person tied to the back of a car and dragged on the ground.
 
DAMASCUS ADMINISTRATION MOBILISED FORCES
 
Following the intensification of the clashes, Ahmed al-Shara's administration directed its forces in Damascus, Hama, Idlib, Aleppo, Deir ez-Zor to the coastal areas where clashes were taking place. On the other hand, mobilisation and curfew were declared. 
 
MILITARY SHIPMENTS FROM TURKEY
 
On the other hand, it was stated that Turkey sent military forces to Syria through Bab al-Hewa border gate. In a video shared, Turkish military vehicles are seen. 
 
CLASHES CONTINUE
 
According to local sources, mostly from Syria's coastal cities, the crisis situation is still ongoing. 
 
Fighting between armed groups and the Damascus administration continues.
