WAN - The police attacked the protest against the appointment of trustees to Wan Metropolitan Municipality and detained Amed Metropolitan Municipality Co-mayor Doğan Hatun. It is stated that Neslihan Şedal, Co-mayor of Wan Metropolitan Municipality was also wounded in the same attack.
Following the appointment of a trustee to Wan (Van) Metropolitan Municipality, protests started in the city. While protests started in almost all streets of the city, clashes that started with the police attack at many points continue. Amed (Diyarbakır) Metropolitan Municipality Co-mayor Doğan Hatun was detained again during the blockade. Hundreds of people, including Özalp Municipality in Wan Co-mayor Ecevit Ceylancı were also detained.
Wan Metropolitan Municipality Co-mayor Neslihan Şedal was injured during the police attack and was not allowed to be taken to hospital.
