The police raided the municipality building this morning with tear gas on the grounds of a prison sentence given to Abdullah Zeydan, Co-Mayor of Wan Metropolitan Municipality. The Ministry of Interior announced that Abdullah Zeydan was suspended and Governor Ozan Balcı was appointed as a trustee in his place. The municipality administration appointed by the trustee came to the municipality immediately after the raid. Meanwhile, the crowd in front of the municipality protested against them with slogans "There is a thief". The people who were called to welcome the trustee greeted Balcı at the door with a smile.
