ISTANBUL - 75-year-old Hatice Yıldız, who was arrested on a stretcher, deteriorate in the prison where she was held alone for 3 days. Her lawyer applied for postponement of execution and probation for Yıldız.

 

It was learned that 75-year-old Hatice Yıldız, who was sentenced to 4 years and 2 months in prison for depositing money to her daughter and her daughter's cellmate in prison and was taken out of her home on a stretcher and arrested, deteriorated in prison today.

 

Her lawyer, Xebat Demircan went to visit Yıldız, and stated that Yıldız had been staying in a single room since Friday. 

 

Stating that Yıldız was brought to the lawyer's meeting accompanied by a guard, Demircan said: “My client is not well. She cannot walk alone. She was brought and taken away accompanied by correctional officers. During the visit, she deteriorated and fainted. And health teams intervened there." 

 

CAN'T EAT

 

Yıldız will be taken to the ward today. Demircan said: “My client has not been able to eat properly for two days due to health problems. She wasn't in a good condition."

 

Demircan stated that during his meeting, Yıldız told him that she could not stay in prison because she is ill and old, and emphasized that his client wanted to get out of prison as soon as possible.

 

SHE WAS NOT ALLOWED TO SEE HER SON

 

Stating that they asked for special permission from the prosecutor's office to see her son, Demircan said: “We demanded that my client's son see her due to her health problems. We insisted on this. However, our demand was rejected on the grounds that the meeting day was close."

 

Demircan stated that they made two separate applications for Yıldız, demanding both probation and execution postponement.
