6 young people arrested in Izmir

İZMİR - 6 youth members of HDP İzmir Youth Council, who were taken into custody, were arrested.
 
Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) İzmir Youth Council members Uğur Yıldız, Mustafa Yalçın, Emre Yalçın, Harun Yakaç, Abdurrahim Kaymaz and Özkan Çakal, who were detained in İzmir on May 31, were taken into custody today at the Çankaya TEM Branch Office, after their statements were taken at the İzmir Courthouse. 
 
The youth, who were taken to the İzmir Courthouse, were arrested by the court, to which they were referred with a request for detention, following statements by the prosecutor's office, on the allegation of being a "member of a terrorist organization". The detained youth were sent to Buca Kırıklar Type F Prison.
