URFA - Peace mother Hadle Oğur and her family are under constant police and military pressure for her children one of whom has died and two of whom she hasn't heard from for years.

Peace Mother Hadle Oğur who lives in the Haliliye district of Urfa is under constant pressure of the police and the military regarding her daughter Hilal Oğur from the PKK, who died on November 27, 2010 and other daughter Sümeyye and her son İbrahim Oğur whom she hasn't heard from for since 2011. Oğur whose house is being raided by the police and the gendermerie over and over again, told that her husband was recently summoned to the counter terrorism unit and her daughter who lives in Hatay was harassed by the police who came to her house three times. Oğur said: "They are always harassing us. I haven't heard from my children for years. Enough is enough. They shouldn't disturb us anymore."

POLICE DON'T KNOW WHY THEY ARE LOOKING FOR HER

Oğur told that the police who raided her house 3 times in 2020, detained the familiy members each time. Recently when she was summoned to the counter terrorism unit, Oğur told that she went there with her attorney and said: "I waited for 4 hours. I asked them why they summoned me. They said they didn't know. Then they told me I could leave. If there's nothing they were to ask me, why bother me?"

HOW DID YOU DO THE FUNERAL

Speaking about her husband being summoned to the counter terrorism unit, Oğur said: "They asked my husband how did our children go, who sent them, how did we do the funeral. My husband told them he was in prison at the time and he knew nothing at the time. The funeral they are talking about is my daughter's. It was back in 2011. They attacked the funeral, we couldn't do it. They took me and those who came to the funeral under custody. The law suit they filed against me regarding the funeral is still ongoing."

Pointing out that her son at home was also called three times, Oğur said: "They asked him about his brothers and sisters. Where they are, what they are doing. My son told them he was nine when they left and he wouldn't recognize them if he'd saw them."

'I WANT PEACE'

Stating that they will seek legal aid from Human's Rights Association (İHD) for the pressure against them, Oğur said: "That's enough. They don't have the right to harass us. I will seek legal aid. I think they are trying to say, "Either you leave this place or we will harass you". We understand that. This is our home. We will not go anywhere. Enough is enough. We want peace. We want a dignified peace."
