KARS – Governor Türker Öksüz who was appointed as a trustee to the Kars Municipality, performed a Friday prayer in front of the city hall as soon as he walked in the door.

Kars Governor Türker Öksüz, appointed by the Ministry of Interior as a trustee to replace Kars Municipality Co-mayor Ayhan Bilgen, who was arrested on the grounds of the 2014 Kobanê protests, entered the municipality building with an army of guards.  While all the entrances and exits to the municipality were closed, the trustee Öksüz performed the Friday prayer in front of the municipality building first thing.
