Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued warrants for 82 people in 7 provinces within the scope of the "Kobanê investigation" initiated. Many people, including members of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Central Executive Committee (MYK), were detained in house raids this morning as part of the investigation.

 

CHP MP Sezgin Tanrıkulu commented on the detentions from his twitter account. Tanrıkulu said: "Ayhan Bilgen, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Altan Tan and many politicians were detained during house raids on their homes early this morning. The reason was the Kobane incidents of 6-8 October 2014. 6 years have passed since then, these people were investigated, gave their statements and prosecuted. This operation against HDP is a wedding gift to the 'palace'.
