İSTANBUL - Suruç Families Initiative filed a criminal complaint against Ahmet Davutoğlu who was the prime minister at the time.

Suruç Families Initiative went to Çağlayan Court House in İstanbul to file a criminal complaint against Ahmet Davutoğlu who was the prime minister at the time. The families filed a complaint against Davutoğlu with the accusations of 'Crime against Humanity', 'Intentional Killing by Act of Ommission', 'Destruction, Concealing or Altering Evidence', 'Protecting an Offender' and 'Reckless Injury'.

The initiative made a statement in front of the courthouse before filing the complaint. Stating that the Suruç Massacre was a crime against humanity and the prime minister of the period is responsible for it, Çağla Seven said: "This person who used the massacre in his favour, for political maneuvers in the period's conjuncture, is responsible for the massacre and has to be held to account." Seven said: "We don't want anyone to confess their sins. We demand everyone who are politically responsible for the massacre, from the prime minister to the pettiest officer to be held accountable. As the prime minister of the period, Ahmet Davutoğlu must admit his guilt and share the information he claims he has with the public. That is why we are filing a criminal complaint against him."

Following the statement, the families filed a criminal complaint against Davutoğlu.
