ANKARA - The “Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration” bill submitted to the Parliament’s Justice Committee was approved in its entirety in a vote. 

 

The “Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration” bill, submitted to Parliament’s Justice Committee as part of the Peace and Democratic Society Process, was approved in a vote following the adoption of Article 10. 

 

Tensions rose during the meeting as the committee proceeded to a vote following the İYİ Party’s reservations on the articles. Political parties will be able to submit reservations on the bill and the committee’s decision until 11 a.m. today. Following the discussion of motions submitted on the article and the issues raised in the reservations, the meeting, which lasted more than 18 hours, concluded with all of the articles being approved.

 

The bill is expected to come before the General Assembly 48 hours later.
