NEWS CENTER - PAK announced that eight peshmerga were wounded in an attack targeting its base near the Dareşekran Camp in Hewlêr.

 

Partiya Azadiya Kurdistanê (PAK - Kurdistan Freedom Party) reported that its base near the Dareşekran Camp in Hewlêr came under a drone attack at around 02:00 a.m. last night. According to the party, eight peshmerga were wounded in the attack. 

 

PAK officials said this was not Iran’s first attack against them, adding that two peshmerga had lost their lives and 26 others had been wounded in previous attacks carried out by Iran. 

 

From the outbreak of the Iran-US/Israel war on 28 February until 19 July, the Kurdistan Region has been targeted by drone and missile attacks 960 times. Twenty-eight peshmerga have lost their lives in attacks on Hewlêr and Silêmanî. Nearly 150 peshmerga and civilians have also been wounded.
