'Peoples embraced each other with Abdullah Öcalan's philosophy' 2025-02-14 10:28:38 RIHA - Stating that the peoples of North and East Syria have been strengthened by Abdullah Ocalan's perspective of "freedom", "The peoples have embraced each other with his philosophy," said Journalist Sterk Gulo. The international conspiracy in which PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan was handed over to Turkey has deeply affected many sectors, especially the Kurds and their friends. The peoples of Syria, where Abdullah Öcalan lived for nearly 20 years, were the most prominent among these groups. 14 years after Abdullah Öcalan was taken to İmralı Island, the peoples in the lands where the revolution took place built a new life with a "women's libertarian, democratic and ecological" paradigm.    Sterk Gulo, who works as a journalist in North and East Syria, made evaluations on the effects of the conspiracy on the peoples.   Sterk Gulo said that women were the most affected by the conspiracy process and added, "Mr Öcalan had lived here for 20 years. The peoples here recognised him as a leader regardless of their identities. Especially women. The peoples started to embrace Mr Öcalan in every sense. Because Mr Öcalan had based the democratic nation system on the coexistence of peoples. The Assyrian, Arab, Turkmen, Armenian and Kurdish people here still believe in his perspective."    Stating that hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets against the conspiracy at the current stage and the main demand is the physical freedom of Abdullah Öcalan. Sterk Gulo said, "People here are longing for his voice. Since the last meetings, there has been an increasing demand from all segments of society to hear Mr Öcalan's voice and to see him."   ATTACK ON THE DEMOCRATIC NATION PARADIGM   Pointing to Abdullah Öcalan's resistance in İmralı Prison, Sterk Gulo said that the peoples in Tishreen Dam were inspired by this spirit of resistance. Sterk Gulo stressed that the main aim of the attacks was Abdullah Öcalan3s democratic nation paradigm, and that this was frustrated by the resistance vigils that had been going on for days.    Sterk Gulo said, "We see how Arab fighters are at the forefront of the dam resistance. It is Mr Öcalan who createc this spirit. Peoples embraced each other with his philosophy. for this reason, the peoples see Mr Öcalan's freedom as their own freedom. The peoples believ that this year 15 February will be a day of freedom rather than a black day. Because great gains have been achieved after years of struggle and resistance. Everyone is ready to pay the price for this."   MA / Ceylan Şahinli
